Meade County Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Jessica Youart, a Special Education Teacher at Meade County High School, as the 2024 Special Education Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Youart is recognized for her unwavering dedication to meeting the unique needs of her students with care and commitment.
Jessica’s approach to teaching is centered on ensuring that each student reaches their full potential. She is known for spending the time needed to help students grasp difficult concepts. Her consistent efforts have resulted in her students often achieving remarkable progress under her guidance.
Jessica also fosters a welcoming and supportive environment, greeting each student with a smile and creating an atmosphere where learning is engaging and inclusive. Her intentional teaching methods, such as station teaching and the integration of life skills into her curriculum, have significantly impacted her students' learning experiences. Whether teaching job applications, interview techniques, or the basics of tax filing, Jessica prepares her students for life beyond the classroom.
